Hi there!
Back in 2018 when I lived abroad for the first time, I was amazed at how freeing and fulfilling a life full of travel and exploration felt. Once I started, I couldn’t stop.
My faithful backpack has travelled with me to every destination. Sometimes my backpack was all I had! This was a regular occurrence when it came to weekend trips while I was studying abroad.
Most often nowadays it’s accompanied by a duffel bag or a carry on suitcase. But while my other luggage is subject to change, my backpack is always consistent.
Now I want to share our adventures with all of you!
why a backpack?
Being a recent graduate, this means that for my past travel experiences I had to work with a very small student budget. Only recently have I been able to spend more on little luxuries (like actually paying to check luggage!).
I got a crash course in cheap travel through my experiences and learned a lot. For instance, I learned that my backpack was the cheapest way to travel, especially by plane, because one personal item is always free.
All of this knowledge has saved me SO much money over the years. So many of my friends and family have told me that they have no idea these travel hacks exist, and I’ve watched it make a difference after I educate them on it.
